3 weeks after a Breast Augmentation

A short-incision Breast Augmentation with dual-plane sub-pectoral placement of 275cc Silicone Implants was performed. Dr. Markarian always tries to utilize careful technique to place the implants low during surgery so the patient will not need to wait long afterwards for the implants to drop. The implants will drop further but both the patient and Dr. Markarian felt they were already in a very good position at 3 weeks out. One of my other goals is to try and place the incision as close to where the final breast crease will be. (See the last picture on the right).

Dual plane breast augmentation was performed with new silicone breast implants placed underneath the muscle. Additionally, the prior scarred capsule was removed and improvement in symmetry was appreciated.

3 Months After a Short-Incision Breast Augmentation with 300cc Silicone Implants

This 5’0 woman in her 30s is shown 3 months after a short-incision Breast Augmentation with 300cc smooth round moderate plus Silicone Implants.  A dual plane technique was utilized where the breast tissue was separated from the muscle to also allow a subtle LIFT of the nipple and improved SYMMETRY of the AREOLA overall.  I always try to place the implants LOW to minimize the “drop and fluff” stage and help every woman reach her final results sooner…

When picking the best implant size, I always advise patients to note a person’s height and age when they look at before and afters… Why?  Age and height are important in determining the desired cup size.  In general, it takes about 150cc to go up a cup size — a little more if you’re taller, a little less if you’re shorter.  Also, if you’re a little older, your skin may stretch a little more, and it will take a slightly larger implant to fully expand your breast to achieve the desired cup size.  350cc expanded her a little over 2 cup sizes…
